Euclid is a European Space Agency mission designed to investigate the nature of dark energy and dark matter by mapping the large-scale structure of the Universe with unprecedented precision. Over its mission lifetime, Euclid will observe billions of galaxies across a significant fraction of the sky, creating a vast dataset that allows scientists to study how the Universe has expanded and evolved over cosmic time. The scale of the survey requires substantial computing, storage and data-processing capabilities to handle the collection, distribution and analysis of petabyte-scale datasets. Through IRIS, the UK Euclid community benefits from advanced digital infrastructure and expertise that support scientific data processing, catalogue generation, simulation activities and collaborative research. These capabilities help researchers transform large astronomical datasets into new insights about the composition, evolution and ultimate fate of the Universe.
