PLATO (PLAnetary Transits and Oscillations of stars) is a European Space Agency mission that will search for and characterise planets orbiting other stars while also providing unprecedented measurements of stellar structure and evolution. The mission will generate large volumes of high-precision photometric data that must be processed, curated and analysed by researchers across the international collaboration. Through IRIS, the UK PLATO community uses advanced computing and data infrastructure to support simulation studies, software development, data-processing pipelines and the preparation of scientific workflows needed for mission operations and data exploitation. These capabilities help researchers prepare for the scientific challenges of analysing large-scale survey data and maximise the scientific return from a mission that will transform our understanding of planetary systems and their host stars.
