Who are the IRIS partners?

The IRIS partners are all affiliated with the Science & Technology Facilities Council which is one of the seven research councils within UK Research & Innovation.

UKRI works in partnership with universities, research organisations, businesses, charities, and government to create the best possible environment for research and innovation to flourish. We aim to maximise the contribution of each of our component parts, working individually and collectively. We work with our many partners to benefit everyone through knowledge, talent and ideas.

Scientific Partners

IRIS supports a very diverse range of data intensive science activities. Some of these are UK national science facilities like the Central Laser Facility and others are global experiments like the Square Kilometre Array. These experiments produce a massive amount of data which needs to be processed, moved, stored and analysed. IRIS helps them build their infrastructure to do this. Click on the logos below to find out more about the experiments and facilities IRIS works with.

Infrastructure Partners

IRIS works with the UK’s major digital research infrastructure providers to help create and deliver resources to support science.
